Frequently Asked Questions
Will I get my Pet’s ashes returned?
This depends on the type of cremation you request. With “Private” cremations your pet is cremated in its own chamber and the ashes are collected and returned to you in an urn. With “Communal” cremations your pet is cremated with other pets and the larger group of ashes are spread on our property.
What’s your facility like?
We are located in a country setting in beautiful Ashe County. We have several barns where our cremation machines are located. Occasionally people request to visit but due to safety concerns we require prior notice. Our central location allows us to serve Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, West Jefferson and the rest of the High Country.
How much will this cost?
Typically between 200-400$. A “Private” cremation is more expensive than a “Communal” cremation. With a private cremation your pet is cremated individually and the ashes are collected, processed and returned to you in a rosewood urn. Conversely a “Communal” cremation is where your pets is cremated with other pets and the ashes are spread in a memorial section of our property (more economical). We also take your pets weight into account, larger pets require more time and resources to cremate and are therefore more expensive.
My pet passed at home, what should I do?
Call us at 828-964-7002, we can arrange to have your pet transported to our facility and take care of everything for you. Your pets ashes will usually be returned within 10 days.
Do you take cards?
Yes, we understand sometimes it’s hard to find cash or checks. We can typically email you an invoice which can be paid with a card. We also can accept Zelle or you can pay for a “House Call” or “Home pick-up” through our website.
